  • @vip1607 - If you buy a license to 1Password 5 (or 6 as of today's release), it will include a license key for version 3.8.22 as well. You csan use that to register your copy of 3.8.22. And you will be all set when the time comes to upgrade your OS X version. The upgrade from version 3 to version 4 required an upgrade payment, but you will already have that taken care of.

    First off apologies, while testing I regenerated a new 1Password licence key for you so I've sent the new details to you, it should already be in your inbox.

    I've checked the licence out and it works for me. I assume you're copying and pasting the licence key, certainly it's what I do in these situations when I get a licence in an email. At least with Thunderbird though, my preferred client, I've seen it copy more than it looks like it should have. It might be worth pasting into a text document (TextEdit is perfect for your needs here) and make sure no extra whitespace etc. is interfering. I would also make sure the name you're entering is exactly as you supplied to us as it has to match exactly. What I did was copy and paste when I was checking and it worked okay here.

    Hopefully this might explain it but if not please do let us know and we'll continue with the troubleshooting.

  • Thanks @littlebobbytables I tried your suggestion, using TextEdit, making sure copy and paste was accurate, yet it still did not work!?

    However, I thought to try something that did not seem to make sense and low-and-behold it did work: I entered the Windows Key# even though I'm working with a Mac version of the app and on a Mac, and the 1Password license window accepted that!

    So, I'm not sure why the Mac license number link did not work? But seems the illogical solution does work

    @eybconsulting: I think that might have been the problem. You shouldn't have a Mac-specific license. The bundle license is for both Mac and Windows, so just continue using that one on both platforms and you should be all set — but if you run into any other issues, we're here for you!
